Flies Flies
All our flies are custom tied to order and may take up to a week or so to complete. We will do our best to get them to you as soon as possible. Our customers tell us they are worth waiting for.
Neon Knight Neon Knight

Featured as the Editor's Fly in the March/April issue of Fly Fishing in Salt Waters. I tie this with EP Glow in the Dark fibers, Glow Crystal Flash Accent, Glow Flashabou and finished with Pelagic Mirage Asymmetric Eyes.

This fly absolutely lights up in the water and is deadly on snook, reds and tarpon can't resist the greenish glow it produces in deeper water. We also carry all the materials in our Fly Tying section to tie your own. Drop me an e-mail if you have any questions on tying this or any of our patterns.

Flies  |  Bonefish
T-Bone-Stake T-Bone-Stake
I tied this prior to a bonefishing trip to the Exumas last summer and Gretchen caught a great bonefish on the first cast. The primary material is palmer chenille trimmed on the bottom and sides. I tie them in both pearl and tan depending on the bottom color. This is a great fly for tailing fish in skinny water.

Flies  |  Redfish
Natural Natural
I had a chance to take Stu Apte on a float trip down the Yellowstone when I lived in Montana. He is one of the pioneers of this sport and one of the best casters I have fished with. I designed this fly based on his style of tarpon flies and have been using it for the last year with great success. It has taken two snook this year over 20 pounds. Great redfish fly as well. Size 2/0
PRICE: $4.95

POI Tan Shrimp POI Tan Shrimp
I was looking for a redfish fly that was simple, landed soft, sank quick and was easy to tie. The POI Shrimp was inspired by Tim Borski's Butterfly and Larry Haine's Supreme Shrimp. Tied bendback style with a weighted keel it is just the ticket for the oyster bars and irresistible to redfish and snook. Also a great fly to throw for tripletail. I use tan rubber legs for antennae, EP Shrimp Dubbing Brush with rubber legs for the body, flower craft stamens for the eyes, tan Supreme Hair for the carapace and topped with root beer Crystal Flash.
PRICE: $5.95

Red Reaper Red Reaper
The fly is tied in the Knight style using the new Fish Scale material from Just Add H20 for the body. I use Glow in the dark pink Flashabou for the throat, brown FS for the body and topped with black FS. I use Gamakatsu SC15s in size 2/0 most often. I finish the fly off with Pelagic Eyes in Silver/Gold/Black. This is a great color combination for both reds and snook. A very easy fly to tie, durable and absolutely sexy in the water.  Size 2/0

Flies  |  Snook
Alien Alien
The fly is a fusion of shrimp and baitfish patterns and combines key traits that trigger strikes, much like a Woolly Bugger does for trout. It is tied entirely with EP glow-in-the-dark fibers and glow legs. It absolutely lights up in the water and is irresistible to snook. I have been testing this fly in both off-color and clearer water over the last few months and it is killer. I tie it from size 2 through 2/0 and you can add a few wraps of lead on the shank to act as a keel before putting the body and to adjust the sink rate. The name comes from the new Pelagic Asymmetric Mirage Eyes and legs off the front that give it an 'alien-like' appearance.
PRICE: $5.95

Blue Eyed Blonde Blue Eyed Blonde
This Knight style variation uses Slinky Flash as the primary material and incorporates luminescent materials much like the Neon Knight.  White Slinky Flash, white glow Flashabou, pink glow Flashabou, SF Herring Back and black Crystal Flash. The fly is finished with the blue/pink/black Pelagic Eyes.
The Blue Eyed Blonde is is a good all round baiftish imitation with striking blue overtones and luminescent glow that snook can't resist. Give one a try when you are looking for something new to throw.
PRICE: $5.95

DNA Reducer DNA Reducer
I came up with this pattern this winter while poling the shallow creeks and bays in the backcountry to imitate the small glass minnows the big snook were keyed in on. It uses a new material called DNA HoloFusion tied reducer style along with silver/gold/black Pelagic Eyes. DNA is a very cool material with lots of possibilities.
