DNA Reducer
I came up with this pattern while poling the shallow creeks and bays in the back country to imitate the small glass minnows the big snook were keyed in on. It uses a new material called DNA HoloFusion and Fish Scale tied reducer style along with Pelagic Eyes. DNA is a very cool material with lots of possibilities. The is a really versatile pattern that works great offshore as well when fish are keyed in on small baits.

Natural
I had a chance to take Stu Apte on a float trip down the Yellowstone when I lived in Montana. He is one of the pioneers of this sport and one of the best casters I have fished with. I designed this fly based on his style of tarpon flies and have been using it for the last year with great success. It has taken two snook this year over 20 pounds. Great redfish fly as well. Size 2/0

Neon Knight
Featured as the Editor's Fly in the March/April issue of Fly Fishing in Salt Waters. I tie this with EP Glow in the Dark fibers, Glow Crystal Flash Accent, Glow Flashabou and finished with Pelagic Mirage Asymmetric Eyes.
This fly absolutely lights up in the water and is deadly on snook, reds and tarpon can't resist the greenish glow it produces in deeper water. We also carry all the materials in our Fly Tying section to tie your own. Drop me an e-mail if you have any questions on tying this or any of our patterns.

Green Lantern
This variation of the Natural is killer for summer tarpon. Tied with splayed Whiting neck hackles in Fl. Yellow Chartreuse over a small bunch of chartreuse buck tail. Add a topping of crystal flash, palmer a collar of chartreuse marabou and set black bead chain eyes back a bit from the hook eye. Easy to tie, lands soft and yet sinks just right when you put it on top of rolling fish. The action the marabou imparts and color combination make it irresistible. Tied on a Gamakatsu SC17 in sizes 1/0 to 3/0.

Jurassic Tarpon
Here is a tarpon muddler on steroids. I use the new Pelagic Eyes in blue, red and black. The center is tied with a mixture of bright blue Angel Hair and Icelandic Sheep to bulk up the profile. I put a collar of black ostrich around the top and sides and black dear hair head. Another dark fly for off-color water or when the fish are keyed in on mullet. When you need a fly that really pushes water and has the large profile - give one a these a try.

Orange Crush
The Orange Crush is a Toad /Tarpon Bunny hybrid that is killer for backwater tarpon. This was our go-to fly for tarpon this spring being particularly effective on laid-up fish. It lands soft and has a very slim profile and color (almost "worm-like") in the water and the rabbit collar and tail breath with every strip. Great fly for the backwaters of the 10,000 Islands and Everglades. Available tied on a Gamakatsu in sizes 1/0, 2/0 or 3/0.
